A friend in need, is a friend indeed.
What got me thinking about friendship/love was a trip to the SPCA.

Looks kinda desolate doesn't it? The building somehow resonates the loneliness of all that inhabits there. Located at Mount Vernon Road, near Marie Stella Secondary.
Inside the building, it is separated into two parts. The main "office" as shown in the picture, is air-conditioned and it is where the volunteers do the paper work/admin stuff. It is also where the Vet Clinic is located.
The second part of the building is where the pets are held. Within the area, it is further segmented into kennels for dogs that are up for adoption, a "Cattery" where there are cats that are up for adoption.
Lastly, is the holding area where visitors cannot access. That is the place where the pets that are abandoned wait for collection / the strays that are picked up and brought to SPCA. The pets will wait for their owners to collect them, else those that are not suitable to be up for adoption will be put to sleep.
What got me thinking was something that the attendant of SPCA told me.
"Those poor souls in the holding area, what do you think they are barking for? Their owners of course!"

You're Everything.
Think of somthing you can't live without and the pain that comes with it.
The pets are clever too. While we were looking at the various dogs in the building, a family came and entered the place and all the dogs start barking excitedly immediately! loud barks! growling barks! whining barks! all!
There is little doubt that they know, each time only when a family comes then a dog will be taken and adopted. And you realise that what those pets there want is for someone to adopt them.
It was a heart wrenching visit. Please, think once, think twice, think thrice, think again, before you even consider buying home that tentatively cute pet.
